[…] Da quando Massimo Barzagli ha iniziato a collaborare con Luisa Cortesi,la performance,che presiedeva,sia pur in forma privata,alla nascita delle sue precedenti opere pittoriche tende ad esplicitarsi. L’esperienza coreografica della danzatrice e la recente utilizzazione di fondi preesistenti accuratamente campionati dall’artista danno vita ad opere complesse in bilico tra pittura, danza,fotografia e video.
Trasformando lo spazio della tela in luogo di un evento,la danza sembra presentificare au rebours il lavoro preparatorio delle pose che originano l’immagine pittorica […]

[…] Since Massimo Barzagli began collaborating with Luisa Cortesi, the performances he presided over , even in private form, at the birth of his earlier painted works, has tended to become explicit. The choreographic experience of the dancer and the recent utilization of pre-existing backgrounds accurately sampled by the artist give life to complex works that exist somewhere amid painting, dance, photography and video.
