Nei primi del ‘900 burattini e marionette diventano protagonisti di considerevoli sperimentazioni figurative e teatrali, molti artisti si avvicinano a questo fantastico mondo fatto di materia, movimento, gesto, musica e colore. E in quel fermento creativo nasce uno dei miti del teatro d'animazione contemporaneo, Sergej Vladimirovic Obraszov. Il celebre artista moscovita approda a questa particolare forma di spettacolo mettendo in scena parodie, sul tema del lavoro teatrale, con burattini. "Obraszov, tema e variazioni" è un omaggio a questo grande creatore, costruttore, interprete e regista che ha contribuito alla scoperta di un genere teatrale ma soprattutto ha svelato il significato di ogni spettacolo: un rito magico di intensa partecipazione collettiva.

In the early 20thcentury puppets and marionettes started being the protagonists of conspicuous figurative and dramatic experimentations. Many artists approached this marvellous world made of substance, movement, gesture, music and color. One of the legendary figures of contemporary animation theatre, Sergej Vladimirovic Obraszov, was born in the excitement of that creativity. The famous muscovite artist reached this distinctive kind of performance staging, with puppets, parodies on the subject of theatrical work. ‘Obraszov, tema e variazioni’ pays homage to that great creator, maker, performer and director who contributed to the discovery of a new dramatic genre but, above all, to the one who revealed the meaning any show has: a deep collective act of participation in a work of magic.
